    How do I schedule an IME?

    Do you require a retainer fee? 
    Yes, there is a retainer fee.

    What is your cancellation policy? 
    10 days in advance

    Where do I send medical records?

    Will you travel from Denver for examinations? 
    No, all examinations are performed in Denver.

    What is the best format for the records?  
    Please send all medical records in hard copy. Imaging
    studies should accompany the examinee or be sent on
    disc format.

    When are medical records required? 
    Medical records are requested 1 week in advance.

    May observers attend the IME? 
    One family member or friend can attend the examination.

    Do you have a pre-examination history form? 
    Yes, and this should be completed prior to the IME.

    Why do you require a history form? 
    Written questions are most helpful to the examinee in
    understanding the process and being prepared for the

    Will the IME evaluation be recorded? 
    Workers’ Compensation Examinations are recorded, but
    never filmed, as this is distracting and uncomfortable for
    the examinee.

    How long will the evaluation take? 
    Plan 2 hours for your interview, examination, x-rays.

    Will x-rays be needed? 
    Current imaging studies are usually necessary for a
    complete examination.

    How long does it take to return your reports? 
    Reports are usually available 7-10 days after an IME.

    Can I schedule a telephone or personal conference after the IME? 
    Yes. This is encouraged.

    Will you provide Trial Testimony? 
    Yes, and this can be scheduled far in advance, and anywhere
    in the United States.
